Estate Planning: Leaving a Multi-Generational Legacy
Using a Dynasty Trust
A recent Merrill Lynch/Capgemini World Report
estimates that one in every 125 Americans is a
millionaire. At some point, planning will be required to
transfer this wealth to their heirs. If not done
properly, Uncle Sam will become one of the transferees –
not only on the first generation’s passing, but also for
each generation thereafter. With such a concern, and as
more states continue to abrogate the “rule against
perpetuity,” the use of Dynasty Trusts has become a
valuable planning tool.
