It's that time of year again! The holidays, school vacations, snow (at least in this part of the world) and end of year carrier deadlines are just around the corner.

We have added a helpful guide to our Year-End Carrier Deadlines bulletins, updated weekly in this email. We also urge you to contact your Brokerage Director and/or Senior Sales Consultant to alert us of any cases that require special “nudging” to meet those year-end deadlines.

And of course, it goes without saying, you can also call our management team – Andrea, Liz, Teague or myself – if you need help getting those last minute cases in the door. We are here to make sure that you have a spectacular finish to your year!

Case of the Week:
Expand Your Market, Your Expertise, and Your Sales Capacity WITHOUT Expanding Your Overhead or Your Staff!

One of the major impediments when trying to expand into the executive benefits arena is the requirement for plan administration and a much higher level of ongoing policy service. Let’s face it – time spent servicing and administering existing plans is time NOT SPENT SELLING.

LifeComp may be your ace in the hole!
The LifeComp system offers a variety of plans, case design and plan installation assistance, combined with full-service administration at affordable fees.  LifeComp offers turn-key assistance and administration for the following plans:

  • LifeComp FlexKey Plan.
This is the traditional non-qualified executive benefit plan. The employer is the policy owner, beneficiary and premium payer.  FlexKey can be used for stock redemptions, key person coverage, and can provide a pre-retirement death benefit for select executives.

  • LifeComp DollarFlex Plan.
This is the plan to use for split-dollar loan regime plans. The executive owns the policy, while the employer makes annual loans to pay the premiums.

  • LifeComp DuoFlex Plan.
In this plan both the employee and employer each own an undivided interest in the policy. It is a split-dollar alternative. Typically the employer bonuses their interest to the employee over time.

  • LifeComp ExecBonus Plan.
This is a traditional Section 162 bonus.

For strategies beyond the boundaries of the employer-employee relationship, LifeComp also offers the Private Estate Solution (i.e. private split-dollar) and the Private Value Access (i.e. spousal access) plans.

LifeComp was initially part of the Jefferson-Pilot portfolio. Due to the JP-Lincoln Financial merger, it is now offered by Lincoln Life. LifeComp offers agents a variety of time-tested plans with full-service turn-key case design, plan installation, and plan administration services. And, of course, you get all this PLUS the assistance of The Potomac Group’s Advanced Markets team. Call your Brokerage Director or Advanced Markets Director for more information on LifeComp.
